Tailor-made trainings address the labor shortage in the food service industry
The restaurant industry is still suffering from a post-corona skilled labor shortage. TAKK addresses the challenge with tailored training programs, which are designed for students from outside the EU. Currently, 60 Vietnamese and 20 Indian students are studying at TAKK to become chefs. One of the new Tampere residents is An Tran*.
Tran moved from Ho Chi Minh City to Tampere with her children in September. She is completing a professional qualification in food services and will graduate as an institutional cook in a little over a year. Like her fellow students, Tran has also come to Tampere to stay.
*An Tran is a student of RAB.
