TAKK (Tampere Adult Education Center) – in Tampere, Finland – was founded in 1962. Today, TAKK is one of the largest vocational schools in Finland, with more than 11 thousand students and 20 different vocational fields.
RAB has been working with TAKK to recruit students in Practical Nursing, Food Services, Cleaning & Property Services, and Beauty Care. Together with the trust from TAKK, RAB became a strategic partner for Finland and Tampere City.
We are looking for 6 students with good CNC machining background to join the first group of machining studies in Tampere, Finland. The program is scheduled for Summer 2025, interview to select students will be held in April by TAKK and the school’s recruitment partner companies. The program consists of two studies phases:
-Phase 1: Students start with 3 to 4 months of Finnish language studies and theoretical studies at TAKK’s campus.
-Phase 2: Students start Apprenticeship agreement with recruiting companies for about 12-14 months, with a paid salary compensation for students who complete a vocational program via apprenticeship, regulated by Finland law.
By completing the program, the students will be granted with a Further Vocational in Production Technology, Machining which is accredited in Finland and whole Europe.

TAKK and RAB targets to recruit at least 20 Vietnamese to join the coming Practical Nurses program, specializing in Elderly Care. The program is scheduled to run in Tampere in August 2025. This is one of the fields that Finland has a huge lack of employees.
The training lasts 2 years. During that, students are prepared with Finnish language skills which is the most demanding skill to work in this sector in Finland, Students graduating from the program will earn a Finland and EU-qualified Vocational Qualifications in Social and Health Care, Competence are of Elderly Care and Rehabilitation. Practical nurses are respected profession in Finland. They either offer home-care services or work at elderly-home.
Philippines, Kenya, Nigeria, Indian are traditional markets that offer practical nurses candidates to Finland. From Vietnam, RAB currently has 30 Practical Nurses students in Tampere and a few more Registered Nurses students in other cities in Finland. This is now a good opportunity for Vietnamese to diverse the community’s professions in Finland long with our traditional branded areas when abroad like restaurant or salon businesses.
Most of us may already heard Finland has the best Education in the world. The best things are normally offered in Early Childhood, Preschool and Basic Educations with a wonderful combination between academic standards and comprehensive growth of a child. For this reason, at schools and other services that related to children, there are the presences of a few widely known job titles which are Childcarer, School Assistant, School Health Nurse Child Welfare Worker, Family Support Welfare Worker…
Finland offers trainings in different levels for students who wish to join those professions in their life. At Vocational level, one can study for at least 2 years and earn a Vocational Degree in Practical Nurse, Children’s and Youth Education and Care. This degree program is a combination of Healthcare and Social Services. Students can later all upgrade their career in either one of the directions.
RAB and TAKK are looking for 15-20 students for this program. This is a great fit (but not limited to) for a typical Vietnamese woman, at their middle life career, have English, and wish to shift their career to a more society focused direction, and have a sustainable living in a good welfare country like Finland.

Tredu is a city-owned and biggest vocational school in Tampere which is the second most populated city in Finland after the Helsinki Capital area. Tredu owns 13 campuses around Tampere and its neighborhood areas like Nokia, Virrat, Ylöjärvi, Kangasala, Lempäälä and Orivesi.
RAB started an official partnership with Tredu in Summer 2024. Together with the trust from TAKK and Tredu, RAB became a strategic partner for Finland and Tampere City
This training program prepares participants to work as bus drivers in the EU region. The program is to target 15 Vietnamese suitable students.
During the training program the student gains competence for the most demanding tasks of the logistics field.
- Getting the category C and D driving license
- Getting the professional qualification for the transportation field
- Gaining the adequate knowledge for the diverse tasks of transportation field
- Becoming a responsible and reliable worker in the field
- Developing customer service skills
If the participant completes the previous studies successfully and the knowledge of the Finnish language has developed according to the plan, the student has the opportunity to finish the program with a maximum of 5 months of apprenticeship with a Salary.
Laurea is one of the top Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland. Laurea’s campuses are located in the Greater Helsinki area, offering an exciting student experience in the busy capital area as well as promising career opportunities.
Starting in January 2025, RAB will officially start its partnership with Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The aim of RAB-Laurea partnership is to make sure Vietnamese students have access to qualified but less competitive education studies.
The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Social Services will provide you with the skills and tools to work with clients from diverse backgrounds. In addition, the experiences of working in a multicultural learning environment will give you an advantage in the job market after your graduation. If you are interested in working with clients, empowering them and promoting their welfare throughout their different life stages, then studies in Social Services are just for you.
Possible job titles for a Bachelor of Social Services include:
- Social counsellor
- Family welfare counsellor

- Organizational worker
- ECEC Social Pedagogue
Graduates can find work in different areas within the social services field: child and family welfare, elderly care, youth work,, adult welfare, substance abuse and criminal work, immigrant work, early childhood education and care, international organizations and the third sector, working with people with learning and physical disabilities, mental health or establishing own company or services.
One of the most interested competence for Vietnamese students may be Early childhood education and care competence. This study prepare students knowledge in working with children and compulsory unites if one wants to work in the Kindergarten environment as a counselor or ECEC Social Pedagogue.
All applicants for the Degree Programme in Social Services are required to have B1 Finnish skills. However, for Vietnamese applicants, this will NOT be required when applying. Our Vietnamese students will learn Finnish after arriving in Finland at Laurea Campus.
Laurea is the largest educator of nurses in Finland.
As an expert in nursing, you will monitor the patient’s condition, administer medication, coordinate the overall treatment and provide guidance for patients and their family members. The most important areas of expertise in a nurse’s job include support for health and functional ability, prevention and treatment of illnesses and disabilities, support for recovery and rehabilitation and alleviation of suffering. Encounters with clients and good social skills are also important areas of a nurse’s work.
Nurses graduating from Laurea have excellent employment opportunities in a wide range of nursing environments, and in national and international organizations. According to your personal interest, you may be employed in an inpatient ward, an operating theatre, home care services, a pediatric ward, a psychiatric hospital, geriatric care, substance abuse care or work in third sector organizations like the Red Cross, the Heart Association, and mental health associations etc.
Because of the compulsory and complementary Finnish language courses, Laurea’s nursing graduates have the sufficient skills in Finnish to be employed in Finland.
Our Nursing Bachelor Program for Vietnameses will last 4 years instead of 3.5 years normally for Finnish students. In the first 0.5 years, intensive Finnish courses are offered at Laurea campus. After that, Finnish language will be strongly supported throughout your studies.
With this model (0.5 Finnish language studies + 3.5 year Degree studies), Vietnamese students are not required to have sufficient Finnish language to pass the entrance requirements. The language courses start after students arrive in Finland.
